In late October I had the chance to visit the beautiful Canadian North during a trip to Iqaluit, Nunavut. I loved everything about the snowy landscape, distinct culture, welcoming locals, and beautiful sled dogs. While the days were short lived, I found myself eagerly anticipating those Arctic sunsets. Not only were they breathtaking, but they also cued what light show would be coming next – the Northern Lights. I tried to get some great shots of the Northern Lights but suffered a mild (yet painful) bit of frostbite mid-photoshoot and had to flee back into the welcoming warmth of our hotel. Despite that particular photoshoot fail, I managed to capture a few treasures from other parts of the trip.
